 CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AT

LA CANADA CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder

them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

                                                                                                                         Matthew 19:14

The La Canada Congregational Church is dedicated to the foundation of celebrating a loving and inclusive God; recognizing our God through Jesus Christ and his teachings; and sharing those teachings of forgiveness, reverence, charity, understanding, humbleness, joy, and love for all mankind with our children.

The LCCC Kid’s Program recognizes that there are many ways to engage and teach children about Christian beliefs, traditions, and covenants, including storytelling, music, games, arts, reading, charitable efforts, and traditional lessons.

The LCCC Christian Education Board is dedicated to incorporating all forms of learning, and very much welcomes the ideas, suggestions, help, and inclusion of parents and the congregation.

____________

“The Christian story can draw us in and change us in amazing ways.  By hearing about others—their faith and doubts, their encounters with God, and what it means for them to live life as Christians—we become part of the story, too. We want to know a loving God who understands us and accepts us as we are.  We want to have a connection to God and to others through Jesus Christ.  We want to become part of the vision of the reign of God.  As we become engaged in the story, we become part of it, too."
